HALO® Laser Treatment
Laser Treatment
HALO® combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to address multiple levels of skin concerns in only 1-3 treatments. It is suitable for all skin types and ethnicities and can be used anywhere on the body: face, neck, chest, arms, legs.
A HALO® treatment simultaneously delivers non-ablative and ablative wavelengths to the same microscopic treatment zone, providing both short-term and long-term benefits to a wide variety of skin concerns. This results in an unmatched improvement in the appearance of ageing skin. Remarkable results can be achieved in 1-2 treatments (while older, non-hybrid technologies typically require 5-6 treatments to demonstrate similar results). Even better: downtime with HALO® is minimal, and you can resume regular activity within 3-5 days after a treatment.
HALO®s ablative wavelengths target and treat the skin for surface-level conditions such as textural issues and enlarged pores, while the non-ablative wavelength targets deeper sun damage and other pigmentation issues. Its powerful technology delivers safe, consistent, and precise results every time; and by creating small thermal injuries in the skin, collagen production is stimulated, and new, healthy skin is produced in a short amount of time.

What to expect on the day
We offer an in depth consultation to determine best treatment plan for you in the first instance. This includes a VISIA scan which captures high resolution pictures of your face assessing various skin health factors such as wrinkles, pores, pigmentation, sun damage, redness, and even underlying issues not visible to the naked eye. You will receive these results along with a quotation for your specific plan and treatment dates to choose from. Treatment on same day is possible if suitable in your schedule otherwise, we can book you in at your nearest convenience.
On the day of your Halo treatment, you can expect a relatively quick and comfortable procedure. First, the Nurse Practitioner will clean the treatment area, its generally best to attend without make up. We use a high-grade topical anaesthetic cream to the numb the treatment area before this procedure (no nerve blocks). You’ll be given protective eyewear, as the Halo device emits the laser. As the treatment begins, you’ll feel a sensation or mild tingling, but it’s generally well-tolerated. The skin will begin to feel warm during the treatment and this will continue for 30-90 minutes following the treatment. The session typically lasts 25 to 45 minutes, depending on the area(s) being treated. Afterward, your skin may appear red, similar to sunburn, but this usually subsides within a few hours. The following day, the skin may appear slightly swollen and perhaps still slightly red and warm. This can continue for a few days following treatment, when the skin will comfortably peel, while you keep it moisturised with your post treatment cream, leaving your skin feeling fresh and soft 5-7 days after the treament. You’ll be able to resume normal activities 3-5 days after, though it's important to follow any post-care instructions.
